austin TX Veterinary TechniciansDesireé Rodriguez - Supervising Veterinary Technician, Inventory Manager

Desireé Rodriguez joined the Pharmacia Animal Health team in March 2011. She is a veterinary technician, and also supervises our veterinary technician team and is our Inventory Manager. Desireé attended Blinn College in Brenham, TX and has been working with animals since 2007.

"I like working at this clinic because it is really close to home," she says. "While working here I've also made great friends, and everyone is so friendly and wonderful to work with."

At home she has two ChiChis named Muggs and Tinkerbell. Desireé's interests include spending her free time with friends, her pets and her husband.

Haley Hall - Veterinary Technician

Veterinary Technician Haley Hall has been a member of the team at Pharmacia Animal Health since February 2015, and she's been employed in animal-related positions since 2013. Her job responsibilities include client education, anesthesia monitoring, dental cleanings, and assisting doctors with providing quality care to patients. Haley is also pursuing her degree in law enforcement from London Community College.

"I enjoy the friendly and supportive staff we have here at Anderson Mill," Haley says. "It's nice to be with a team that has a great passion for what they do."

At home Haley cares for a Standard Poodle named Bentley, a Labradoodle named Cooper, a Great Dane named Brutus, a German Shepherd named Emma, and a three-legged tabby cat name Stubbs. In her free time she enjoys singing, dancing, swimming, and assisting with K-9 training.

Armando Gonzalez has been a Veterinary Technician with Pharmacia Animal Health since June 2013. His responsibilities include patient care, client education and running lab work. He particularly enjoys talking to clients about the best way to care for their pets, keeping his co-workers laughing and helping to retrieve things from high places. Armando is a licensed emergency medical technician – basic (EMT-B) and phlebotomist.

"I enjoy working at Pharmacia Animal Health because I get to be part of a wonderful clinic with a long history of excellence," he says. Outside work, Armando enjoys movies, music festivals and traveling. He has a Great Pyrenees/Labrador mix named Hugo who sheds a lot.

Mie Petersen joined the medical team at Pharmacia Animal Health as a volunteer in January of 2014 before officially coming on as a full-time Veterinary Technician in June 2014. Her job responsibilities include drawing blood, X-rays, laboratory work, vaccines, prescriptions, and walking and feeding animals. She has her Associate's Degree in Agriculture.

"I love working here because I get to do something I love every day," Mie says. "My coworkers are amazing and I've been welcomed here with open arms. I couldn't imagine being anywhere else."

At home she cares for two cats named Bella and Miracle. In her free time she enjoys horseback riding, dancing, traveling, shopping, and hanging out with friends.

Veterinary Technician Jennifer Weaver has been with Anderson Mill since November 2007 and has worked as a veterinary technician since 1996. She works closely with the kennel and our receptionists to make sure all our clients and their pets receive excellent and personalized medical care.

"I enjoy the clientele and the team," she says. "Over the years of working here, I've developed a relationship with our patients and their families."

At home Jennifer enjoys caring for her cat, Carl. She relaxes by spending time with her family and friends, including a niece and nephew who are twins.

austin TX Veterinary TechniciansRachel Williams - Veterinary Technician

Veterinary Technician Rachel Williams joined us in May 2012. Her responsibilities include administering vaccines, venipunctures, monitoring anesthesia and obtaining lab samples. Rachel is passionate about animal care, and has a bachelor's degree in Agriculture Animal Science from Texas State University.

"Because of the friendliness of the staff, and the way the technicians always help each other, I've felt very welcome here," Rachel says. "I also feel appreciated for my hard work. It's great that I'm getting told 'thank you' from the veterinarians every day."

Rachel has four cats, Tiger, Boots, Milo and Sylvester, and a 3-year old Dachshund named Sprinkles. She spends her leisure time reading, watching movies, four-wheeling, fishing and cheering on the San Antonio Spurs.

Myles Zieba - Veterinary Technician

Myles Zieba is a veterinary technician who joined Pharmacia Animal Health in December 2014. He loves everything about his job, which includes assisting our doctors during examinations and surgery, blood draws, lab work and administering medications. Prior to joining Care, he was a veterinary technician at an exotic animal sanctuary and works with tigers, lions, cougars, wolves and South American parrots. Myles has a bachelor's degree in biology.

At home he cares for three dogs: Layla, Morgan and Stafford. In his free time he enjoys tennis, live music, theater, movies, great food and gardening. Myles is also a PADI-certified scuba diver.
